Our visit to Osterley park, National Trust House and Gardens

This is a post about our activities and travels as a family and this time it is about Osterley Park, National Trust House and Garden in Isleworth.

We love visiting National Trust properties and luckily our children do too. Edward my eldest loves doing the different trails they organise and often will also want to go into the houses and visit the rooms, the artefacts, look at the paintings etc. Elliot the youngest is very happy running, walking along and enjoying being outdoors.

This autumn was the first time we visited Osterley park and it was so good that w went again for a second time during the October half-term weekend. A pumpkin festival was on during the week and weekend and it was very well put together. At the moment they have all sorts of Christmas activities for families and children.

Osterley Park house is very convenient to go to from Tooting as it is only half an hour away.

What’s on for kids?

Quite a lot, walks, dens, tree rope swings which are the most amazing ones. The kids absolutely loved going on them and so did I, I must confess, I loved the thrill.

The pumpkin festival was very well organised, with an area for carving the pumpkins, an area with camp fires for marshmallow roasting. The house is very interesting to visit too and has some monumental rooms and decorations.

A range of Christmas activities is going on at the moment, from a Santa’s Grotto to experiencing winter at Osterley park.

I would definitely recommend visiting Osterley House and Gardens.
